I’ve been tracking corn prices lately and noticed they’ve been moving in interesting ways — pretty stable in global futures, but locally (especially in India) they’ve been edging up. Reports talk about record harvests in the U.S., but at the same time, there are disease risks in Midwest fields and ethanol demand is climbing in a few countries.

Here are the questions that keep bugging me:
If the U.S. harvest is record-high, why aren’t prices falling harder?
For India, demand from poultry feed and ethanol blending is rising — does that mean domestic prices will keep going up even if global supply is strong?
How much weight should we really give to crop disease risks like southern rust or tar spot? Are they usually overblown or can they flip the market fast?
Is this still a good season for exporters, or will cheap supply elsewhere undercut them?

Anyone here directly involved in corn price trend, trading, farming, or procurement? I’d love to hear how you’re seeing the ground reality compared to what analysts are projecting.
